AfterWife AI Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AfterWife AI website, subscription service, AI-powered conversational features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the policies referenced in them, including the AfterWife AI Privacy Notice, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Service Disclaimer.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not subscribe to or use the Service.

1. Adult Eligibility

AfterWife AI is intended solely for adults age 18 and older.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, subscribe to, or use AfterWife AI.

The Service is not available to minors, including with parental or guardian permission.

2. About AfterWife AI

AfterWife AI is an AI-powered conversational service designed primarily for adult men navigating life after divorce.

The Service provides general conversation, encouragement, practical guidance, and perspective on topics that may include confidence, dating and relationships, communication, everyday decisions, routines, home, style, meals, social situations, and other aspects of everyday life.

Conversational interactions with AfterWife's AI assistants are generated using artificial intelligence, not by human beings.

AfterWife is transparent about the AI nature of the Service. The AfterWife experience may be intentionally shaped using human-authored guidance, practical knowledge, communication principles, and perspective, but AfterWife's AI assistants do not possess human consciousness, personal emotions, lived human experience, or professional credentials.

3. Accounts and Account Security

You may be required to create an account to access some or all of the Service.

You agree to provide accurate and reasonably current information when creating or maintaining your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

Your account is intended for your personal use and should not be shared with another person.

If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact AfterWife promptly at [email protected].

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the AfterWife AI Privacy Notice.

4. Subscription, Billing and Automatic Renewal

AfterWife AI is offered as a recurring subscription service.

The subscription price, billing frequency, and any applicable charges will be disclosed before you complete your purchase.

Unless otherwise clearly stated at the time of purchase, your subscription will automatically renew for additional billing periods until you cancel.

By subscribing, you authorize AfterWife AI and its payment service providers to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees and any applicable taxes until your subscription is canceled.

If a payment cannot be successfully processed, access to some or all paid features may be suspended until the billing issue is resolved.

AfterWife may change subscription pricing in the future. Any material price change affecting an existing subscription will be communicated before the new price applies to a future billing period.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your AfterWife AI subscription at any time.

You may cancel using the subscription-management option provided through the Service or by contacting [email protected].

Unless otherwise stated, cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You will retain access to the Service through the end of that billing period and will not be charged for another subscription period after your cancellation takes effect.

Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for amounts already paid.

Refund requests and eligibility are governed by the AfterWife AI Cancellation & Refund Policy.

AfterWife AI does not charge cancellation fees.

6. Content and Service Boundaries

AfterWife AI is a safe-for-work conversational service.

AfterWife AI does not provide pornographic or sexually explicit content, erotic or sexual roleplay, sexual companionship, or sexually explicit interactions.

Users may discuss dating, relationships, communication, and other personal subjects in a non-explicit, advice-oriented manner, subject to these Terms, Service guidelines, and applicable law.

You may not use AfterWife AI to:

  • violate applicable law or encourage illegal activity;
  • infringe or violate the intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights of another person;
  • impersonate another person or intentionally misrepresent your identity;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems;
  • introduce malicious software, code, or other technology intended to interfere with the Service;
  • interfere with, disrupt, damage, or misuse the Service;
  • use automated systems to access or exploit the Service in a manner not authorized by AfterWife;
  • submit content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors; or
  • use the Service in a manner that materially violates these Terms or applicable Service policies.

AfterWife may restrict particular requests or content that fall outside the Service's intended boundaries.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the text, images, and other content you submit to AfterWife AI.

By submitting content, you authorize AfterWife AI and the technology service providers that help operate the Service to host, transmit, process, store, reproduce, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and administer the Service, subject to our Privacy Notice and applicable law.

This authorization does not transfer ownership of your content to AfterWife.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit any content you provide.

Subscriber conversations and submitted content are not publicly posted or made visible to other AfterWife subscribers.

8. AI-Generated Information

Responses provided through AfterWife AI are generated using artificial intelligence.

AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors, misunderstandings, incomplete information, inappropriate suggestions, or inaccurate information.

AfterWife does not guarantee that every AI-generated response will be accurate, complete, appropriate, or suitable for your particular circumstances.

You are responsible for exercising your own judgment when considering or acting upon information or suggestions provided through the Service.

9. No Professional Advice

AfterWife AI provides general conversation, encouragement, practical suggestions, and perspective.

The Service is not a substitute for qualified medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Do not rely on AfterWife AI as the sole basis for decisions requiring professional expertise.

AfterWife AI is not an emergency service and should not be used as a substitute for appropriate emergency assistance.

10. Service Availability and Technical Limitations

AfterWife AI is provided on an "as available" basis.

While we work to provide a reliable Service, we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available without interruption, delay, error, or temporary technical difficulty.

Access or performance may occasionally be affected by maintenance, updates, system changes, internet or network conditions, security measures, or services and technologies provided by third parties that AfterWife relies upon to operate.

AfterWife is not responsible for access problems caused by a user's internet connection, device, browser, software, network, or other systems outside AfterWife's reasonable control.

If a significant technical failure within the AfterWife AI Service prevents meaningful access to the Service, you may contact [email protected] for review in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

11. Third-Party Technology and Services

AfterWife AI relies on third-party technology and service providers for certain functions necessary to operate the Service.

These functions may include artificial-intelligence processing, website hosting, data storage, payment processing, security, communications, and other technical infrastructure.

Availability or performance of the Service may occasionally be affected by these providers.

Information processed by technology providers in connection with your use of AfterWife is addressed in the AfterWife AI Privacy Notice.

12. Intellectual Property

Except for content submitted by users, the AfterWife AI Service, including its name, branding, logos, website design, original written content, graphics, features, and other materials created or owned by AfterWife, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for its intended purposes while your account or subscription is active.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, resell, distribute, exploit, or create unauthorized derivative uses of the AfterWife Service or its proprietary materials except as permitted by law or with written permission from AfterWife.

13. Suspension or Termination of Access

AfterWife may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service when reasonably necessary to:

  • address a material or repeated violation of these Terms;
  • respond to fraudulent, unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized activity;
  • protect the security or integrity of the Service;
  • protect AfterWife, its users, service providers, or others from harm;
  • comply with applicable law or legal process; or
  • address nonpayment of required subscription fees.

Where reasonable under the circumstances, AfterWife may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue before terminating access.

Nothing in this section requires AfterWife to provide advance notice when immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or safety.

14. Changes to the Service

AfterWife AI may update, improve, add, remove, or modify features of the Service as the Service develops.

We may also temporarily suspend portions of the Service when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, upgrades, or technical reasons.

If a material change significantly affects the scope or price of a paid subscription, subscribers will be provided appropriate notice before that change takes effect.

15. Changes to These Terms

AfterWife may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements, technology, or business practices.

When these Terms are updated, the "Last Updated" date will be revised.

If we make a material change that significantly affects your rights or obligations, we will provide appropriate notice as required by applicable law.

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AfterWife AI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

AfterWife does not warrant that the Service will always be uninterrupted, completely secure, error-free, or that every AI-generated response will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for every user or situation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AfterWife AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

AfterWife is not responsible for decisions or actions taken solely in reliance on AI-generated information where the Service clearly advises users to exercise their own judgment or seek appropriate professional assistance.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Service will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable federal law or another law that cannot lawfully be waived applies.

Any legal proceeding arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in Virginia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

19. Severability and No Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If AfterWife does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice, Cancellation & Refund Policy, Service Disclaimer, and any other terms expressly presented to you when purchasing or using the Service, constitute the agreement governing your use of AfterWife AI.
